The difference between cold lamination and hot lamination by superplasticizer

1. The mounting method is different. Cold lamination relies on mechanical pressure to press the plastic film onto the surface of the photo, while hot lamination not only relies on mechanical pressure but also on temperature to melt the plastic film and attach it to the surface of the photo with adhesive tape.

 

2. The scope of application varies. Cold framing is mainly applied to the photo printed image to avoid scratches, contamination, or getting wet. And hot lamination is suitable for laminating all flat panel and roll media.

 

3. Different advantages. Cold lamination can improve the quality of the image, protect it, resist water and strong peeling. Before using plastic film, cut the appropriate size of plastic film according to the size of the paper used. Hot lamination can immediately use a coating as the cover to protect the paper, and has the characteristics of not deforming, not changing color, and can be permanently preserved.
